You have the flexibility to cancel at any time and will only be charged for the time dedicated to the search. This ensures a fair and transparent billing process, aligned with the value provided.

How much does a retained search cost?

Most traditional retained search firms charge a fee equal to a percentage of the candidate’s first-year total cash compensation, typically ranging from 30% to 33%. This fee encompasses the base salary, signing bonus, and projected bonuses, with additional expenses adding another ~5%. However, this percentage-based pricing model presents a conflict of interest, allowing search firms to benefit from negotiating higher salaries for the placed candidates. Furthermore, if you hire a second candidate from a retained search into a different role, these firms may charge an additional fee.
